Advice for Parents/Carers regarding Coronavirus

Advice for Parents/Carers regarding Coronavirus

I wish to reassure you that our school is continuing to follow the clear guidelines for educational settings as given by Public Health England with regards the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We are aware that there are some concerns, particularly regarding children or siblings who may have travelled to specific countries/areas including over half term holidays.

Currently, there is no reason why your child(ren) should not come to school as normal.
We are aware of different situations in some schools but, unless the situation changes for our school, we should continue with our normal school arrangements.

What action you should take
A UK wide campaign has been launched to provide clear advice on how to slow the spread of Coronavirus. Please help to support the campaign which promotes basic hygiene practices, such as regularly washing hands and always sneezing into a tissue, to stem the spread of viruses. We continue to practice this at school using the advice given to us.

Prior to half term, we sent home information relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19) to help inform you during the half term break. For your convenience, please find attached the latest links to relevant and up to date information.

As a reminder, anyone who has travelled to the UK from the countries listed (in the following link) in the last 14 days and is experiencing cough or fever or shortness of breath, should to stay indoors and call NHS 111, even if symptoms are mild.

We continue to monitor the situation and receive regular updates from Public Health England and the Local Authority.
