School Council

Message From The School Council

Hampton Hargate Primary School has an enthusiastic and dedicated school council. Each academic year, one child from each class is voted by in by their peers to become a class representative. We meet at least once per term to discuss school issues. In addition to this, we think of ideas of our own and also ask our classes for any thoughts about how we can make our school an even better place than it already is.

We often run competitions in school on an area of interest that we think is important. This year, we have already helped write our new school rules and are now working together to devise a competition that involves our children thinking about how we can keep our school litter-free.  We have developed links with local community groups and businesses. We completed a litter pick with staff from our local McDonald’s of our local area outside of school. We have also created online assemblies and have used videos as well other interactive methods to communicate to our school community.

The one thing that is the most important to the school council is how we move our school forward. We have met with the Governors of our school to find out more about what their role entails. This helped us have a better understanding of our school and all the roles different people have.

We believe that our school is a fun and fantastic place to learn. We have lots of great lessons like Science, Literacy, Topic, Computing, Numeracy, P.E and many others. We do lots of exciting activities in our lessons and we are always learning new things. At Hampton Hargate we are very lucky; we have lots of fantastic resources and equipment to use both in our lessons and also at playtime and lunchtime.

The teachers at Hampton Hargate are super at helping you with things you don’t understand and they are also great at sorting out lots of other problems!

We think our school is an amazing place to learn!
