The Year 3 and 4 pupils, all members of the school choir, joined children from other schools from across the city in a special performance of the Song for Peterborough.

They performed the song at the Embankment, the Cathedral and Cathedral Square.

Some of them even met one of the torch bearers John Peake, a gold medallist from the 1948 London Olympics.

Mrs Christophi said: “It was an amazing experience for all the children. They were a credit to the school and their families.

“It was such an historic occasion and one that I’m sure one that they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.”
